In March of that year, as soon as he arrived in Mazhuang Village, Yu Chenxi led a working team to visit households. The door of the office was always closed to the villagers. They looked through the files of 1,192 households and 3,434 people in the village over and over again. Two months later, based on first-hand information, the task force finally confirmed that 207 people in 93 households were poor households. The list was published for a week, but not a single objection was received.

Mazhuang Village has a history of raising sheep, but it has never been scaled up. At that time, villager Ma Yongwang had just undergone liver resection and was hit hard physically and mentally. Yu Chenxi learned that Ma Yongwang had raised sheep for others. He provided guarantee for Ma Yongwang and deposited money to buy a batch of lambs.
“In order to lift us out of poverty, Secretary Yu worked hard and worked hard.” Hard work pays off, and now,Ma Yongwang raised more than 800 sheep and became rich.

In 2020, Mazhuang Village was lifted out of poverty. The per capita annual income of villagers has increased from 1,500 yuan to 15,000 yuan, and everyone’s life is becoming more and more prosperous.
In May 2021, the three-year assistance period of the poverty alleviation task team led by Yu Chenxi has expired. When leaving, the North China Oilfield Party Committee received a special request letter – it was filled with more than 700 dense layers of red handprints.More than 700 households in Mazhuang Village requested Yu Chenxi to stay in his post.
